Did you know that Dawn liquid dish soap is a key ingredient for making enormous, pop-resistant bubbles? Homemade Giant Bubbles is a fantastic outdoor activity for kids and the young-at -heart. Here's the recipe.
6 cups of water
1/2 cup of Dawn original dish detergent (blue liquid)
1/2 cup of corn starch
1 tbsp of baking powder
1 tbsp Glycerine
1. Dissolve cornstarch in the water. Make sure you stir very well.
2. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Be careful that your mixture does not get frothy and foamy.
3. Allow your mixture to sit for at least two hours. Stir periodically when you see the cornstarch settle to the bottom.
Giant Bubble are best made on an overcast day. They become more durable and longer lasting, the more the mixture is used. And a bubble frame is one of the best types of wands to use.
Happy Bubble Making!
